DIVYA JACOB, PHARM. D.

Divya Jacob, Pharm. D. is a pharmacist and medical writer on the MedicineNet team. 

She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)  from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, India. She was active in providing patient counseling and drug information to patients as well as physicians during her academic career. 

Jacob’s early research focuses on pharmaceutical options for patients with ischemic heart disease and how they respond to drug therapy in a surgical setting.

Before joining MedicineNet, Jacob worked as a medical writer and drug safety officer. This industry experience has enriched her medical knowledge,  primarily in the oncology field. 

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mumbai. While completing her studies, she developed an interest in patient care and clinical pharmacy. Her passion and zeal in caring for the sick drive her work.
